The boffins there gave this a research-grade ID (which means you can be 99% certain the ID is accurate) and this gorgeous spider, Pholcus phalangioides, has (according to Wikipedia, at any rate) the best collection of colloquial names: cosmopolitan cellar spider, long-bodied cellar spider, daddy long-legs spider, and skull spider.
